Staff and assignment management are important activities in a well-run newsroom. Doris Job Planner brings individual staff schedules, story and photo requests, assignments and event listings together in a common interface to give reporters and editors a birds-eye view of the newsroom’s activities.

Doris Job Planner helps newsrooms organize staff availability and manage, assign and track news, events and tasks through a single, common interface.

Editors can create new assignments, list events, manage story ideas and track the progress of existing tasks. To assign events and jobs to reporters and photographers, Doris Job Planner shows which staff members, organized by groups such as departments, are available during a specified period of time. Job Planner also offers views of the projects in progress at the staff and department level.
Reporters and photographers can view their pending and in-progress assignments and maintain their individual work schedules. Staff members can also check on their own assignments and work shifts via the Internet through a browser-based interface.

The metadata associated with each story or event is customizable to meet a customer’s specific needs. The events lists managed by Job Planner can also be posted on the Internet as a searchable calendar by integrating with Anygraaf’s Doris Web Server.

Doris Job Planner works as a standalone system or as an integrated component of Anygraaf’s Doris32 asset management and publishing production system.
