Daily and Weekly newspapers up and running with the Doris32 editorial system
ELLHOFEN, GERMANY — February 16, 2010 — Newspaper publisher Lüneburger
Landeszeitung recently completed implementation of Anygraaf's publishing systems for its several weekly
and daily papers. The installations were sold and will be managed by Anygraaf's German partner company,
Euro-Publish Software GmbH.
The installation includes the Doris32 asset management and publishing production system,
as well as the Planner edition management and ad layout system. Pagination for the editorial system will
utilize Adobe® InDesign®. At this time, Lüneburger Landeszeitung has implemented 50 client seats for editorial,
planning and page layout; more seats will be added to the installation as additional publications begin production.
The system was installed over the past year at Lüneburger Landeszeitung, as well as their
weekly newapapers, Lüne-Post Wednesday and Lüne-Post Saturday. The combined circulation of the three publications
is approximately 120,000.
The Doris32 system includes integrated archiving and management for many document types
including articles, images, pages and graphics as well as audio and video clips. Doris32 is a multi-channel
production system, allowing for a write once, publish many environment, letting users easily and effortlessly
manage content for print and electronic media at the same time.
Herbert Baumeister, technical production manager, states, "The Doris32 system was selected
because it is very flexible and configurable. It works with the leading desktop publishing systems and stores
the data in a media-independent format. The document management capabilities of the software were key criteria
with regard to our image workflow and archives."
