Moscow-Pullman Daily News Installing Anygraaf
Moscow-Pullman Daily News to implement Anygraaf’s
editorial system
FREDERICK, MD — April 19, 2007 —
The Moscow-Pullman Daily News, owned by TPC Holdings, Inc., has
chosen Anygraaf to implement its editorial system.
The installation, currently under way, includes
the Doris32 asset management and publishing production system, as
well as the Planner edition management and ad layout system. The
Doris Job Planner, Doris Proofing System, Doris Web Server and Doris
I-Flow Color Correction tools will also be installed as part of
the Doris32 package. Pagination for the editorial system will utilize
Adobe® InDesign® with Adobe InCopy® as the text editor.
The Doris32 system includes integrated archiving
and management for many document types including articles, images,
pages and graphics as well as audio and video clips. Doris32 is
a multi-channel production system, allowing for a write once, publish
many environment, letting users easily and effortlessly manage content
for print and electronic media at the same time.
Doris Job Planner places staff schedules, story
and photo requests, assignments and event listings together in a
common interface, which provides reporters and editors a single
location from which to organize an entire newsroom’s activities.
Editors can quickly and easily create new assignments & keep
track of task status via an easy-to-use color-coded system. Assignments
can even be managed remotely via the Doris Web Server.
The Doris Proofing System provides RIP-based
qualifying of pages and ads as they move through the output production
process. Pages are easily managed for output via a browser-based
interface, from Planner, or directly from Doris.
The Planner edition management and ad layout system
will serve as a bridge for dynamic bidirectional support for display
and classified ad layout, as well as automatic placement of ad reservations
and ad material directly on the Adobe InDesign pages managed in
the editorial system. Planner will interface with the ICANON Newzware™
ad booking system and the Atex Enterprise booking system for classified
layout.
Installation is expected to be complete in May
2007.
