Anygraaf Announces Doris Sudoku Generator
Automatic generation of Sudoku puzzles for both print and web
publication
FREDERICK, MD — January 4, 2006
— In response to growing demand for Sudoku puzzles
by daily news publications, Anygraaf has created an easy-to-use
Sudoku Generator. The Generator can create puzzles and solutions
with varying levels of difficulty for print or web publication.
Both a print and an Internet Sudoku Generator program are available.
The Doris Sudoku Generator for print publication
automatically creates puzzles and their solutions based upon pre-defined
variables. The degree of difficulty, size and look of the Sudoku
can be controlled. Automatic generation of either jpg or eps formats
occurs once the puzzle parameters are chosen. The files can be set
for automatic placement on assigned pages; thereby eliminating the
manual work associated with publishing Sudoku puzzles.
The Internet Sudoku Generator can publish Sudoku
puzzles directly to the Internet in an interactive format. The interactive
version features flexible layout and design, easy website integration
and three different difficulty levels. Users can dynamically generate
new Sudoku puzzles themselves in either of the three difficulty
levels. Hints are available via a button, which adds one number
to the puzzle at a time. A demo of the web Sudoku is available at
www.anygraaf.fi/sudoku.
When queried as to why Anygraaf chose to create
a Sudoku Generator, Andrew Hunn, president of Anygraaf USA, Inc.,
replied, “We recognized that this puzzle is becoming very
popular. We wanted to give our customers a tool to help them increase
the value of their products with a way to create these puzzles on
their own and not just for print but for their websites as well.”
An Introduction to Sudoku
Sudoku is a logic-based number placement puzzle based on a 9x9 grid
made up of 3x3 sub-grids. Each row, column and sub-grid must contain
only one instance of each number 1 through 9. Sudoku puzzles generally
have a varying number of digits placed in the puzzle at the outset.
The amount of pre-placed figures has no bearing on the difficulty
of the puzzle; the difficulty is based on the relevance and positioning
of the numbers.
